Designation of Origin Rías Baixas straddles the provinces of Pontevedra and A Coruña, covering intermittent territory ranging from the vicinity of Santiago de Compostela, to the mouth of the Minho river in the Atlantic Ocean and the border with Portugal.

La Denominación de Origen Rías Baixas se extiende por las provincias de Pontevedra y A Coruña, abarcando el territorio intermitente que comprende desde las inmediaciones de Santiago de Compostela, hasta la desembocadura del río Miño en el océano Atlántico y la frontera con Portugal.

Los blancos suelen ser muy afrutados y frescos. Los tintos son corpulentos, aromáticos y de color intenso.
